How American customers choose a local business, and where you win.
In the United States, local searches are dominated by Google and Google Maps. A customer typing “plumber near me” is shown a map with three businesses first; most of the calls go to those three.
Reviews carry unusual weight. People read the star rating, the number of reviews and how the owner replies before they ever visit a website, so a complete, active Google Business Profile often matters more than the homepage.
The market is also regulated state by state: contractor licences, professional advertising rules and consumer laws differ from one state to the next. Trust signals such as licence numbers and insurance belong on the page, and I build them in.
- Google Business Profile completeness, categories and photos
- Review volume, recency and owner replies
- Consistent business details across directories
- Pages for each service and each area you serve
- Licence, insurance and guarantee proof where customers look for it
