Where attention goes

Find the friction, then fix it.

Visitors tell you where a page fails through what they ignore and where they give up.

  • What gets ignored matters. If proof and pricing are skipped, visitors don’t trust you yet.
  • Where they stop is the clue.Form fields and checkout steps show where intent drains away.
  • Phones first. Most visits are on mobile, and most friction hides there.

A common fix

Fewer fields, more enquiries.

Every field you ask for is a reason to leave. Flip to see the difference.

After: three fields

What I test

Four kinds of change that tend to matter.

  • 01

    Clarity

Can a stranger say what you offer in five seconds?

  • 02

    Trust

Reviews, guarantees you can keep, and real proof near the decision.

  • 03

    Friction

Fewer steps, fewer fields, fewer surprises.

  • 04

    Motivation

A reason to act now, honestly stated.

Honest testing

Most tests don’t win.

Real testing means many ideas fail. That’s the point: you only keep what’s proven.

  • 01

    Test one thing

So you know what caused the change.

  • 02

    Run it long enough

Across full weeks, until the result is reliable.

  • 03

    Keep the proof

Every result recorded, win or lose.

How it runs

Research, test, keep what works.

  1. 1
    Find the leaks

    Analytics, recordings and customer feedback.

    A friction report
  2. 2
    Rank the ideas

Scored by likely impact and effort.

    A test roadmap
  3. 3
    Build the variants

Clean, fast and consistent with your brand.

    Test-ready pages
  4. 4
    Run the test

Long enough for a reliable answer.

    A clear result
  5. 5
    Roll out the winner

And feed what we learned into the next test.

    A compounding gain

CRO questions

About conversion optimisation.

The short answer from Syed Hadi Hussain

What is conversion rate optimisation (CRO)?

CRO increases the share of visitors who take action, such as calling, booking or buying. It finds what stops people, tests changes against the original, and keeps what wins, so the traffic you earn produces more customers.

01How much traffic do I need for A/B testing?

Enough to reach a trustworthy result in a reasonable time. For low-traffic sites I use research and sensible before-and-after changes, and I’m upfront about what that can prove.

02Will CRO change my brand or design?

Only where it’s costing you conversions. Most gains come from clarity, trust and removing friction, not from redesigns.

03How long does a test run?

Until it has enough data to be reliable, usually at least a few weeks and across full weekly cycles. Stopping early is how people fool themselves.

04What if a test shows no difference?

That’s still a result. It tells us what doesn’t matter, and saves you from a change that wouldn’t have helped.

05Do you do CRO and SEO together?

Yes. They support each other: SEO earns the visitors, CRO makes more of them count. I’d rarely do one without thinking about the other.
