Core Web Vitals
Pages that load fast and stay steady.
Slow, jumpy pages lose shoppers before they’ve read a word. I find what’s holding your pages back, fix it, and prove the difference on real phones.

What slows a page
Where the seconds go.
Most slow pages are slow for the same three reasons: images, scripts and fonts. Flip the switch to see the difference.
Time spent loading, after
Fix by metric
Three scores, three kinds of fix.
Common causes
- A huge hero image
- Slow server response
- Fonts that block the text
What I do
- Right-size and compress the hero image
- Preload what matters, defer what doesn’t
- Cache pages and trim the server’s work
Two kinds of data
A test is not a visitor.
I use lab tests to find the cause and field data to confirm the fix worked. Reporting only the tests would flatter your site without helping a single visitor.
Core Web Vitals thresholds: LCP 2.5 s or less, INP 200 ms or less, CLS 0.1 or less, measured at the 75th percentile of visits.
A test in controlled conditions
Great for finding causes quickly. It can’t see real phones, real networks or real behaviour.
What real visitors experienced
What Google uses to judge your pages. It moves slowly, so I track it over weeks.
How it runs
Measure, fix, confirm.
- 1Measure on real devices
Field data from your visitors plus tests on mid-range phones.
A speed baseline - 2Find the biggest cause
The heaviest file or script on each key page template.
A ranked cause list - 3Fix the heaviest first
Images, scripts and fonts, one change at a time.
Faster key pages - 4Re-test
Lab tests straight away, field data as it updates.
Before and after proof - 5Keep watch
Alerts when a release makes things slower.
A speed guardrail

What people ask about page speed.
The short answer from Syed Hadi Hussain
What are Core Web Vitals?
Core Web Vitals are Google's measures of page experience: how fast the main content loads, how quickly the page responds to a tap or click, and how stable the layout is. Fixing them makes pages feel faster to real visitors, which helps conversions as well as search.
Is a perfect Lighthouse score the goal?
No. A perfect score doesn’t pay the bills. The goal is pages that feel fast to real visitors and land in Google’s “good” range for the three Core Web Vitals.
How much does speed affect rankings?
It’s one signal among many, and relevance matters more. Where speed really counts is conversions: slow, jumpy pages lose visitors before they act.
Why does my site pass in a test but fail in Search Console?
Tests run in a lab on one device. Search Console shows what real visitors experienced on their phones and connections. I work from the real-visitor data.
Do I need a new theme or a rebuild?
Often not. Most gains come from images, scripts and fonts. I’ll tell you plainly if the platform itself is the problem.
Will fixes break my design?
I make changes in small steps and check the pages after each one, so nothing visible changes unless you want it to.
